VIP-321 Phone
I have been using the VIP-321 together with one DCT-101 in my home
for more than 2 months, and so far it has been a very pleasant experience. Slightly larger than a standard cellphone it has the feel and weight of a quality product, a feeling that is confirmed when you use it and experience it’s crystal clear microphone and speaker. If there is one thing that I find a little negative it is it’s battery capasity; with normal use (at least with 3 young ladies in the house) you should remember to put it back in it’s cradle for charging every evening.
The base unit of the VIP-321 is quite impressive. It has an RJ-11 interface for PSTN connection giving you a total of 3 lines (1 POTS, 2 VoIP). And the two VoIP lines can be configured to use different PBX’s or service providers. It can serve as a PPPoE gateway, Firewall with DMZ , VPN and Virtual Servers. And best of all, you don’t need to be a genious to get it operational. And best of all, it has Handset Paging, a terrific feature that help you locate where you left it last time you (or somebody else) used it!
